This weekend flew by! My friend Katie from college was staying with us this weekend! She was in town for our friend’s surprise birthday party.
Katie flew in late Friday night, but we were still up bright and early for breakfast on Saturday. We hit up First Watch in Bridgeville. The food is always delicious and the industrial/farmhouse decor is so quaint. I rolled with the Bacado Omelette; Bacon + avocado = amazingggggg. Scott, as usual, got french toast.
After breakfast, we said goodbye to Scott and headed down to meet some friends at 11th Hour Brewery in Lawrenceville. This was my first visit, but I’ll definitely be back. I had one of Arsenal Cider’s holiday blend ciders. So good and cinnamon-ny! AND there was free parking and a food truck.
After sipping on some dranks, we strolled around Lawrenceville. It’s such a neat area! Their annual cookie tour was this weekend so it’s safe to say I sampled about a bazillion of them. We popped in a few shops before heading back to get ready for the surprise party! But before we left, I was able to snag a quick picture with Santa at Arsenal 201…. he looks familiar 🙂
My friend’s party was at Foundry Table and Tap on the North Shore- another “new to me” spot. I feel like there’s a ton of new and exciting restaurants popping up every day in the Burgh. The party was great! I love catching up with old friends and making new ones. She has such a welcoming group of friends.
The night ended/the real party started at Howl at the Moon, a dueling piano bar in Downtown. I danced my heart away and stayed out way past my bedtime. I loved every second of it!
On Sunday we met up with everyone one last time for brunch at Mad Mex. It was sad to say goodbye, but it was a wonderful weekend!
We’re currently watching Harry Potter (Scott insists we watch the whole series before Christmas lol) and meal prepping for the week.
I hope you had a great weekend!
Well, that’s all for now.
